The Department/Major of Electronics and Materials Science provides practical education and research in the interdisciplinary fields of electronic devices and energy-related devices sciences and technologies, which are essential for the advancement of industries such as energy, transportation, and electrical/electronic equipment manufacturing. Based on the foundations of electronic physics engineering and materials chemistry, students are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary for these industries.
Course of Electronics and Devices
We train and develop electronics engineers equipped with a broad perspective and academic foundation, capable of creating novel devices such as energy devices and optical/electronic devices.
Course of Materials Science and Engineering
We aim to foster outstanding individuals capable of developing electronic and optical materials that contribute to the creation of renewable energy, environmentally sustainable materials, and new devices by firmly mastering foundational subjects such as chemistry, as well as disciplines like physical chemistry and materials science.

In the graduate master’s program of the Engineering Major: Electronic Materials Science Course, we aim to cultivate outstanding individuals capable of developing electronic and optical materials that contribute to the creation of renewable energy, environmentally sustainable materials, and new devices.
